The Peugeot 208, a subcompact car by French automaker Peugeot, made its debut at the Geneva Motor Show in 2012, succeeding the 207 and positioned below the 308 in the lineup. Designed under the direction of Pierre Authier, known for his work on the Peugeot 2008 Mk1, the 208 is currently in its second generation. Initially introduced as three-door hatchbacks in November 2011, production took place at Peugeot's new facility in Trnava, Slovakia.
