Peugeot 304

1969 – 1980 · France

The Peugeot 304, a compact family car, was produced by the renowned French manufacturer Peugeot from 1969 to 1980. Unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in September 1969, the 304 was known for its sleek design crafted by Pininfarina. It was positioned in the 7CV tax category, distinguishing it as more powerful than the 204 and less so than the 404 in Peugeot's lineup. Production of the 304 sedan ceased in 1979 at the Sochaux facility, while the Break variant continued until 1980. The car's popularity contributed to its success over the years, remaining in the market until its eventual replacement by the Peugeot 305 in 1980
