The Dodge Shadow and Plymouth Sundance are compact hatchback cars that were launched by Chrysler Corporation in 1987. Initially available as 3-door and 5-door models, the lineup was expanded in 1991 to include a 2-door convertible variant exclusive to the Shadow. The introduction of these models marked the replacement of Chrysler's previous Omni and Horizon vehicles. Manufacturing of the Shadow and Sundance began at the Sterling Heights Assembly plant in August 1986.
