The Pontiac Vibe is a compact car that was produced by Pontiac from 2002 to 2010, developed jointly by General Motors and Toyota. It was built at the NUMMI plant in Fremont, California, a joint venture between the two companies. The Vibe shared its platform with the Toyota Matrix and was the successor to the Chevrolet Prizm at NUMMI. Derived from the Toyota Corolla, it was part of the last line of S-body cars developed by GM and Toyota. In a bid to tap into the Japanese market, a right-hand drive variant of the Vibe, known as the Toyota Voltz, was exported to Japan from 2002 to 2004.
