The Reliant Scimitar was a line of sports car models manufactured by British carmaker Reliant from 1964 to 1986. Over its 22-year production span, the Scimitar underwent a transformation from a coupe (GT) to a sports estate (GTE), eventually introducing a convertible version (GTC) in 1980. These vehicles featured a distinctive construction, with a fibreglass body mounted on a steel box-section chassis, and were powered by Ford engines. In 1964, Reliant debuted its first Scimitar model, a coupe that drew design inspiration from the Daimler SP250 prototype (later renamed the SX250), incorporating the chassis of a Reliant Sabre.
