The Renault 10 was a rear-engined, rear-wheel drive small family car manufactured by Renault from 1965 to 1971. It was designed as a larger and more upscale version of the Renault 8. Launched in 1965, the Renault 10 was known as the Renault 10 Major or Renault 1100 in certain markets. The rear-engine layout and rear-wheel drive setup were unique features of this model. In 1971, the Renault 10 was succeeded by the front-wheel drive Renault 12, which was produced simultaneously for two years before phasing out the Renault 10 completely.
