Rhino

Rhino Automotive is a small sports car maker in Kaunas, Lithuania, and the builder of the country's first production supercar, the RR01. The company started out trading as Rhino Racing and was founded by a group of engineers with a background in yacht building rather than cars. Instead of rebodying a donor vehicle, the team designed everything from scratch: the welded aluminium monocoque, the subframes and suspension, the glass-fibre body, the interior and the electronics. The RR01 was shown in December 2023 as a road-legal component car, sold as a kit that the owner assembles with factory support. Early coverage quoted an entry kit from 25,000 euros before taxes, with the prototype running a rebuilt Audi R8 V10. The production platform settled on a Ford Performance 5.0 litre Coyote V8 and a seven-speed dual-clutch transaxle. After several months of certification Rhino became a registered manufacturer with its own VIN numbers, and in March 2026 the first customer car left Kaunas for Pennsylvania in the United States. More than half of each car is made in Lithuania. The RR01 can be road registered in the UK under IVA and in the US under kit car titling. Australian cars are track only for now, with road registration in progress.
