Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit Mark I

1980 – 1989 · Great Britain

The Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit is a luxurious full-size car manufactured by Rolls-Royce Motors in Crewe, England, from 1980 to 1997. It is part of the SZ series and was the first model introduced in this new line. The Silver Spirit offered a combination of luxury, comfort, and performance, making it a popular choice among elite car enthusiasts. A notable variant of the Silver Spirit is the Silver Spur, which is a long-wheelbase version produced from 1980 to 2000. The Silver Spur provided even more spaciousness and comfort for passengers, appealing to those looking for extended legroom and premium amenities in their luxury vehicles. One unique feature of the Silver Spirit was the introduction of a retractable Spirit of Ecstasy. This iconic Rolls-Royce hood ornament would automatically retract into the radiator shell if it was dislodged, a sophisticated safety measure integrated into the vehicle. The Mark I version of the Silver Spirit was launched in 1980, marking the beginning of a new era for Rolls-Royce models. The car set a new standard for luxury vehicles with its opulent design, advanced features, and refined performance.
