1984 – 1989 · Great Britain

The Rover 200 Series, later known as the Rover 25, is a small family car produced by British manufacturer Rover from 1984 to 2005. The series consists of three generations, each offering unique features and design characteristics. - First Generation: The first generation Rover 200 was a four-door saloon car that shared its platform with the Honda Ballade. It was a popular choice for those seeking a compact yet comfortable family car. - Second Generation: The second generation Rover 200 was a versatile model available in three or five-door hatchback versions, as well as a coupé and cabriolet (in limited quantities). Notably, the sister model Honda Concerto was manufactured alongside the Rover 200 on the same production line at Rover's Longbridge factory. This generation offered a wider range of body styles to cater to different customer preferences. Overall, the Rover 200 Series, including its later iteration as the Rover 25, provided consumers with a range of small family car options over its production lifespan. The collaboration with Honda for the first and second generations also highlights Rover's strategic partnerships in the automotive industry. With distinct styling and variations in body types, the series catered to a diverse customer base looking for practical yet stylish transportation solutions. Despite being discontinued in 2005, the Rover 200 Series remains a notable part of British automotive history, showcasing the evolution of small family cars and the brand's efforts to meet the changing needs and preferences of car buyers during that time
