Scarab

Scarab Motorsports, named after the iconic Scarab race cars of the late 1950s, is steeped in a rich tradition of American racing heritage. Originally founded by Lance Reventlow, the only son of Woolworth heiress Barbara Hutton, Scarab made a bold entrance into the competitive racing scene. Reventlow's vision was to create an American car capable of beating Europe's best on the race track. The original Scarabs, with their distinctive front-engine design and sleek bodywork crafted by the legendary Bruce Kessler, quickly made waves by winning major races across the United States, including the formidable Riverside International Raceway in 1958. Today, Scarab Motorsports revives that legendary spirit by offering meticulously handcrafted replicas of the original Scarab race cars. These modern masterpieces blend the aesthetic and nostalgic appeal of the 1950s designs with contemporary engineering enhancements. As a beacon of American automotive craftsmanship, Scarab Motorsports not only pays homage to its historic past but also continues to carve out a niche for enthusiasts of vintage racing. By maintaining fidelity to the Scarab's original ethos while incorporating modern technology, Scarab Motorsports ensures the legacy of Lance Reventlow's dream lives on in the hearts of motorsport fans around the globe.
