The Škoda Enyaq iV is a compact crossover SUV, serving as Škoda Auto's foray into the battery electric vehicle market. Launched in September 2020 in Prague, the vehicle began mass production in November of the same year. Built on the Volkswagen Group MEB platform, the Enyaq shares its underpinnings with the Volkswagen ID.4, forming a part of the expanding electric vehicle offerings within the group. Its name, Enyaq, is inspired by the Irish name Enya, which stems from the Gaelic word ‘eithne’ denoting ‘essence, spirit, or principle’.
