Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class Coupe

2015 – 2024 · GERMANY

The Mercedes-Benz GLE, previously known as the M-Class (ML), is a mid-size luxury SUV manufactured by Mercedes-Benz since 1997. Positioned between the GLC and GLS models, it shares its platform with the latter. The original M-Class, identified as the W163 model, was a body-on-frame SUV produced until 2004. Production briefly occurred in Austria from 1999 to 2002 by Magna Steyr for the European market before shifting entirely to the U.S. plant in Alabama. The second-generation M-Class, known as the W164 model, transitioned to a unibody platform while retaining many components from the GL-Class. The GL-Class features a longer body design to accommodate third-row seating.
