SSC North America

SSC North America, initially established as Shelby SuperCars Inc., marks a distinctive chapter in American automotive history. Founded in 1998 by Jerod Shelby in Richland, Washington, the company swiftly carved out a niche in the ultra-high-performance sports car market. Despite sharing a surname, Jerod Shelby is not related to automotive legend Carroll Shelby, but his ambition to push the boundaries of speed mirrors that of his namesake. The company's inaugural vehicle, the SSC Ultimate Aero, not only set the tone for its audacious engineering ambitions but also clinched the title of the fastest production car in the world in 2007. This record was a testament to the brand's commitment to exceptional performance and innovation, achieving a top speed of 256 mph, as verified by Guinness World Records. Today, SSC North America continues to captivate the automotive world with its groundbreaking developments. Its latest marvel, the SSC Tuatara, aims to redefine the limits of speed and engineering once more. With a claimed top speed exceeding 300 mph, the Tuatara represents the zenith of the brand's technological advancements and their ongoing quest to lead in the hypercar segment. SSC North America remains a formidable name, celebrated for its pioneering spirit and the relentless pursuit of surpassing its own limits in automotive excellence.
