Tank

Tank is a Chinese SUV brand launched by Great Wall Motors in 2021, spun off from the off-road-focused Tank sub-lineup that had been part of the Wey brand. The marque positions itself in the premium body-on-frame and rugged SUV segment, competing directly with domestic and international off-road oriented vehicles at a time when that category was growing rapidly in China. The Tank 300 is the brand's entry point, a compact body-on-frame SUV with a retro-utilitarian design that drew strong early sales figures, while the Tank 500 sits above it as a larger, more luxurious body-on-frame model offered with hybrid powertrain options. The Tank 400 and Tank 700 extend the lineup further, with the 700 representing the flagship, featuring a more imposing full-size body and advanced four-wheel-drive hardware. As of the mid-2020s, Tank vehicles are sold in China and in select export markets, with Great Wall Motors actively expanding the brand's international footprint.
