Thai Rung

Thai Rung Union Car PLC, commonly known as Thai Rung, stands as a testament to Thailand's automotive ambitions. Founded in 1967 by Vichien Phaoenchoke, Thai Rung began as a humble bus-seat manufacturer before evolving into the first Thai company to design and produce its own vehicles. The brand's journey from crafting the TR-1, its inaugural passenger vehicle in 1970, to a comprehensive automobile manufacturer highlights its pioneering spirit in Thailand's automotive landscape. Over the decades, Thai Rung has expanded its portfolio to include not just vehicle production but also parts manufacturing and vehicle modification. Its adaptability is evident in its ability to produce a range of vehicles tailored to diverse markets, from luxurious SUVs to practical commercial vehicles. The company has shown resilience and innovation, particularly in integrating Thai aesthetic elements into its car designs, which resonate well with both domestic and international consumers. Today, Thai Rung continues to thrive by focusing on specialized vehicles and modifications. The company's commitment to quality and its unique position in the Thai market underscore its ongoing success and enduring legacy in the automotive industry.
