Think Global

Founded in Oslo, Norway in 1991, Think Global carved its niche in the automotive industry by focusing on electric cars, a vision far ahead of its time. The brand's inception by Jan-Olaf Willums and other forward-thinking investors marked a significant shift towards eco-friendly transportation solutions. The original Think City, their hallmark creation, embodied the essence of urban mobility with its compact design and fully electric powertrain, catering to environmentally conscious city dwellers. Over the years, Think Global experienced various financial ups and downs, including a couple of bankruptcies that reflected the volatile nature of the early electric vehicle market. Despite these challenges, the Think City evolved through several iterations, improving with each version to better meet the needs of its urban audience. Today, while Think Global no longer produces new vehicles, the legacy of the Think City lives on. The car remains a symbol of early innovation in electric vehicle technology, showcasing the potential of EVs in urban environments. Think Global's pioneering efforts laid the groundwork for the burgeoning electric vehicle industry, inspiring a new generation of automakers to think green. The brand's history and enduring vision continue to influence discussions around sustainable transportation and urban planning.
