Toyota bB

2000 – 2020 · Japan

The Toyota bB is a mini MPV manufactured by Toyota, with the first generation debuting in 2000 and the second generation developed in collaboration with Daihatsu starting in 2005. This vehicle has seen various badge engineering adaptations, being marketed as the Daihatsu Materia, Scion xB, and Subaru Dex. The initial bB model drew inspiration from the Toyota Vitz platform, with the project spearheaded by Toyota's chief engineer, Tetsuya Tada. Although originally aimed at men in their twenties in Japan, the box-shaped mini MPV has garnered significant interest from female buyers as well. With a quirky design and practicality in mind, the Toyota bB offers a unique appeal in the mini MPV segment
