The compact MPV, Trumpchi M6, was initially known as the GM6 and manufactured by GAC Group under the Trumpchi brand in China. It is also marketed globally under the GAC Motor brand as the GAC GM6 or GN6. The GM6 underwent a name change in 2020 to M6 in China and GN6 globally. It was followed by the renaming of the larger M8 minivan. In China, the Trumpchi M6 is considered a compact seven-seat MPV, competing with models such as the Buick GL6 and Maxus G50.
