The Volkswagen Karmann Ghia was a series of sporty Volkswagen models produced between 1955 and 1975 in coupe and convertible body styles. The Karmann Ghia cars were designed with a combination of the mechanicals from the iconic Volkswagen Beetle and Type 3 models, along with styling by Italy's Carrozzeria Ghia, and hand-built bodywork by Karmann, a German coachbuilding company.
