The Volvo 700 series, a collection of executive vehicles manufactured by Volvo Cars from 1982 to 1992, was designed to offer luxury and prestige. It debuted with the high-end 760 model in 1982, followed shortly by the more affordable 740 in 1984. The introduction of the 740 aimed to leverage the success and reputation achieved by the upscale 760, catering to a broader market segment.
