The Volvo Laplander L3314 is a series of military vehicles designed and manufactured by Volvo in response to an order received in the early 1950s to develop a new utility vehicle for the Swedish Army. The initial pre-run series, known as the L2304 and consisting of 90 vehicles, was delivered between 1959 and 1961. These vehicles were equipped with a Volvo B16 engine and laid the groundwork for further development. The main production model, the L3314, saw full-scale deliveries starting in 1963 after undergoing improvements based on feedback from the initial series.
