TagAZ, also known as Taganrog Automobile Factory, was a car assembly plant based in Taganrog, Russia. It operated as an affiliate of the Rostov Truck Factory. The company started constructing the Taganrog Automotive Plant in 1997, with the license and technology from South Korean Daewoo Motors. The project received full financing from the Doninvest Finance & Industry Group, totaling over US$260 million in investments. In 1998, TagAZ initiated partial assembly operations, producing the Daewoo Lanos and Daewoo Nubira models in a semi-knocked-down format. This marked the beginning of its manufacturing activities under the guidance of Daewoo Motors. Unfortunately, the company's financial situation took
