Wikov

Founded in the 1920s, the Wikov brand stands as a testament to innovation and craftsmanship in the automotive industry. Initially established by Josef Wikov in Czechoslovakia, the brand emerged from the engineering prowess behind Wikov’s earlier ventures in agricultural machinery. Wikov's transition into automotive manufacturing marked a significant chapter, with the launch of their original car, the Wikov 7/28. This model epitomized elegance and technical finesse, featuring a robust four-cylinder engine that set the standard for contemporary luxury vehicles. Throughout the decades, Wikov carved out a niche for itself with a series of meticulously engineered automobiles that combined performance with luxury. Despite facing the vicissitudes of the global market, including the economic strains of the Great Depression and the competitive pressures of the 20th century, Wikov managed to leave an indelible mark on the automotive landscape. In recent years, Wikov’s legacy is reflected in its dedicated following and the esteem of classic car enthusiasts. The brand, though no longer in production, continues to be celebrated at vintage car shows and in the garages of collectors who admire the historical significance and mechanical beauty of Wikov’s creations. The enduring legacy of Wikov serves as a bridge connecting the golden era of motoring with the modern fascination for historical and classic cars.
