The Wilson-Pilcher brand, founded by Walter Gordon Wilson and Percival Perry in the early 1900s, stands as a remarkable chapter in automotive history. This brand was distinguished by its pioneering engineering and unique approach to car design during an era when the automotive industry was in its nascent stages. Wilson, an engineer with a keen interest in gearboxes and drivetrains, collaborated with Perry to produce vehicles that featured a notably smooth flat-four engine, a rarity at the time. Their original car, introduced in 1901, was ahead of its curve with a chassis that remarkably integrated the engine and gearbox into a single unit, enhancing both the vehicle's reliability and performance.
