The Cadillac DTS is a full-size luxury sedan produced by Cadillac in the United States from 2005 until May 2011. Available in both five- and six-seat configurations, the DTS made its debut at the 2005 Chicago Auto Show and was manufactured at GM's Detroit/Hamtramck Assembly factory. Based on GM's G-platform, which is designed for front-engine, front-wheel-drive vehicles, the DTS was essentially a slightly updated version of the eighth-generation Deville, following Cadillac's new naming convention established by models like the CTS and STS. The name "DTS" stands for "DeVille Touring Sedan."
