The Ferrari Monza SP1 is the single seat half of Ferrari's first Icona pair, shown in 2018 for the 2019 model year. Where a passenger seat would normally sit there is only bodywork, so the driver sits alone behind a patented Virtual Windshield that lifts airflow up and over the cockpit instead of using a conventional screen. Under the long carbon fibre bonnet is the 6.5 litre naturally aspirated F140 V12 from the 812 Superfast, retuned to 799hp at 8,500rpm and 719Nm at 7,000rpm, which made it the most powerful road going Ferrari V12 of its day. Dry weight is 1,500kg, 0 to 100km/h takes 2.9 seconds and top speed clears 300km/h. The shape is a deliberate tribute to Ferrari's post war barchettas, chiefly the 750 Monza, the 250 Testa Rossa and the 166 MM. Only 499 Monza SP cars were built in total across the SP1 and SP2, all offered by invitation to existing collectors, from about 1.58 million euro before options.
