The Mitsubishi FTO is a front mid-engined, front-wheel drive coupe manufactured by Mitsubishi Motors from 1994 to 2000. Initially intended for the Japanese market, its popularity as a grey market import led to limited distribution in regions such as the UK, Ireland, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, and New Zealand towards the end of its production. The FTO received acclaim, winning the Car of the Year Japan award for 1994–95 and prompting a Limited Edition of the FTO GPX model to commemorate this achievement.
