Broadway Street in downtown Gainesville fills up for Depot Day, with registration from eight until eleven at twenty five dollars a vehicle and spectators in free. Judging is done by professionals now rather than by entrants, across twenty four classes with first and runner-up trophies, seven Best of awards, five specialty picks and twelve hundred dollars in cash prizes. Food stalls, a kids area and a DJ round it out, and the takings go to Cooke County charities.
