PROMOTING RURAL MENTAL HEALTH — Port Broughton, South Australia Mental health struggles affect so many, and gatherings like this hopefully help bring people closer together and get conversations going. ❤️ Bring your pride and joy and meet other like-minded folks. At the last gathering it was great to see locals catching up with families who'd travelled in, all enjoying the morning together. Notices for participants: this seasonal gathering for car and motorcycle enthusiasts — open to special interest vehicles of any make, model or year — takes place on the corner of Bay Street and West Terrace on the Pt Broughton seafront. If it's windy, head into Bay Street instead, as it's more sheltered. The event runs across Summer, Autumn, Winter, and Spring editions, from 9 am to 12 pm — this one being the Winter Edition. A few guidelines to follow: park facing forward (no reverse parking), keep driveways clear and be courteous to nearby homeowners, take your rubbish with you or bin it properly, and keep noise down on arrival and departure since the local policeman lives on this street. Food will be available at the Hotel, The Bay Street Central Deli, Port Broughton IGA, and The Beachfront Takeaway. I'll check with the Port Broughton Hotel about getting the fire pit going to keep everyone warm. Held in conjunction with the NARC Northern Automotive Restoration Club.
