# Drift Day at QR Playground Get ready to drift all day, half day, or just the morning or afternoon session at QR Playground. You'll have a chance to earn your Main Track Licence if you run the afternoon session. ## What to Expect The day splits into two layouts. The morning offers a beginner-friendly setup to get newcomers comfortable and warm up experienced drivers. The afternoon switches to a faster, more technical layout for advanced moves and coaching. All skill levels are welcome in every session. You can run solo or in tandems. An instructor is available for guidance, or just drift with your friends for the fun of it. No noise limits here. Attendance is capped so you get maximum track time without long waits. Multiple layouts with start and finish lines run throughout the day to build your skills. ## When and Where Gates open at 07:00 for morning or full-day bookings, or by 12:00pm for the afternoon session. The track runs from 08:30 to 17:00 with a 30-minute lunch break. Head to Skid Control staff to sign in. ## Your Car Requirements All cars are welcome with no registration needed. Your vehicle must be safe, leak-free, and fitted with working seatbelts and seats. Present your car in good condition. All panels must be fitted. Soft-tops or convertibles stay closed unless roll-over protection is installed. Lights and windows are required (windows three-quarters closed recommended). Clean bash bars are allowed. Exhaust must exit behind the B-pillar with a muffler recommended. Any screamer or blow-off valve should vent to the ground or be plumbed back into the exhaust. Batteries must be securely mounted with terminals fully taped or covered. Good tyres, brakes, fluids and a fire extinguisher are strongly recommended. ## Driver and Passenger Rules An AASA licence is now required for all drivers at this event. Drivers must be 16 or older. Unlicensed or learner drivers need an experienced passenger. Experienced track drivers aged 14 and up may attend by prior arrangement with Skid Control. Passengers must be at least 7 years old and tall enough for the front seat without a booster. Only one front-seat passenger per vehicle is allowed. Maximum 2 spectators per car. Closed shoes and seatbelts are mandatory for all participants. Arms must stay inside the vehicle at all times. Helmets meeting Australian or European safety standards are required for drivers and passengers. Full-length clothing is required for both, covering wrist to toe with no gaps at waist or ankle and no tears. ## Track Rules No drifting on wheel rims. If a tyre pops, stop and drive slowly back to the pits. Standstill burnouts are not permitted. Arranged tandems are welcome. Rubbing between cars is acceptable, but intentional contact leading to body damage, wall hits or crashes will end tandem privileges for those involved. No hooning or loud music outside track areas. Anyone caught fooling around outside designated zones will be removed immediately with no refund. ## Other Information No dogs or other pets on site. No alcohol or drugs on the premises. The clubhouse has seating and toilets. Food and drinks are not sold on-site, so bring your own. Staff reserve the right to remove anyone breaching these rules, without refund.
