# Gillies Range Centenary Rally ## The Road The Gillies Range Road is a historic 19 km mountain route through rainforest. It was the first vehicular link between the coast at Gordonvale near Cairns and the Atherton Tablelands. The road marks its centenary in July 2026. ## The Event On 11 July, a vehicle procession will travel up the range starting at 8am and running until 12 noon. This four-hour timeframe honours the original single-direction design of the pioneering road. The procession ends in Yungaburra with a vehicle exhibition and community celebrations.
