MONTHLY MEET & GREET ... Come on down for Schulte's Meet & Greet, held every 3rd Friday of each month. Bring along your cars, rods, bikes and off-roaders (everything is welcome) and check out some seriously cool vehicles while catching up with mates. PLEASE remember to do the right thing. This is an alcohol-free event, as alcohol and cars don't mix. Take any rubbish home with you, and unruly behaviour won't be tolerated. Police regularly patrol the Plainland area, so behave, or this event may not continue in future.

Part of Queensland's most sought-after winter festivals, this display attracts attendees from throughout the region and further afield. Warwick's CBD hosts the Grand Automobile Display, which showcases an array of classic cars, vintage vehicles, motorcycles, hot rods, muscle cars, specialty builds and modern classics. Participation is open to clubs, offering an excellent opportunity to display member vehicles before an engaged and sizeable audience, connect with fellow car enthusiasts and participate in a professionally organised community festival. Vehicle registrations are currently available with limited availability, so early registration is advised to secure a prime location in the static display positioned along the main street and park. Happy Laps is a relaxed, social track session capped at a maximum speed of 120km/h. Get ready for a huge morning, afternoon or full day at QR Playground - and a chance to get signed off for your MAIN TRACK LICENCE! Test your car control across a full day of open drifting suited to every skill level. The morning kicks off with a beginner-friendly layout to introduce newcomers and warm up the more experienced, before the afternoon switches to a faster, more technical layout for big sends and advanced coaching. Beginners, intermediates and advanced drivers are all welcome across every session, with runs done solo or in tandems of your choosing. An instructor will be on hand throughout the day for anyone wanting guidance, or just jump in with your mates and drift for the fun of it. Tandems welcome, no noise restrictions - just a solid day shredding tyres on great layouts with plenty of challenges thrown in. Spots are capped to guarantee maximum seat time - no long waits for track access or sharing the circuit with a huge field. Can't make the whole day? Half-day bookings are available for either the morning or afternoon session, though a full day is strongly recommended. Because of the track layout and licence requirements, Drift Licences are only issued to drivers running the afternoon session - if you're still after your licence, this is the only way to earn one, which helps ensure everyone on the main track looks after it so we can keep drifting at QR long-term. Multiple layouts with a start and finish line will run throughout the day, giving you variety to build your skills and get the most track time possible. Splitting the car with another driver? Second Driver spots are available on the day, but note that's still just one booked space shared between two - alternatively you can book two separate spaces online. Running on the QR Drift Playground from 08:30 to 17:00 with a 30-minute lunch break, gates open at 07:00 for morning/full-day sessions, or by 12pm for the afternoon session - head to the Skid Control staff to sign in. AN AASA LICENCE IS NOW REQUIRED FOR ALL DRIVERS AT THIS EVENT! All cars welcome, no rego needed. Vehicles must be safe, leak-free, and fitted with working seatbelts and seats - please present your car in respectable condition. All panels must be fitted (soft-tops/convertibles need to stay closed unless roll-over protection is fitted), along with lights and windows (¾ closed recommended); clean bash bars are permitted. Exhaust must exit behind the B-pillar with a muffler recommended; any screamer/blow-off valve should vent towards the ground or ideally be plumbed back into the exhaust. Batteries must be securely mounted with terminals fully taped or covered. Maximum 2 spectators per car. Only one front-seat passenger per vehicle. Passengers must be at least 7 years old and tall enough to sit in the front seat without a booster. Drivers 16+ welcome (unlicensed/learner drivers need an experienced passenger; underage experienced track drivers aged 14+ may attend by prior arrangement with Skid Control). Closed shoes and seatbelts are mandatory for all participants, with arms kept inside the vehicle at all times. Helmets meeting Australian or European safety standards are required for all drivers and passengers. Full-length clothing is required for drivers and passengers (wrist to toe covered, no gaps at waist or ankle, no tears). No drifting on the wheel rims - if a tyre pops, stop and drive slowly back to the pits. Standstill burnouts aren't permitted; this is a drift day, not a burnout comp. Arranged tandems are fine, but any intentional contact between cars will end tandem privileges for those involved - rubbing is acceptable, but body damage, wall hits and crashes are not. Good tyres, brakes, fluids and a fire extinguisher are strongly recommended. No loud music or hooning outside the track areas - anyone caught fooling around outside the designated zones will be removed from the venue immediately, no exceptions. No dogs or other pets on site. No alcohol or drugs on the premises. Please note that while our clubhouse has seating and toilets, food and drinks aren't sold on-site, so bring your own. Right of admission is reserved, and staff may remove anyone breaching these or any on-the-day rules, without refund.

Time Attack entries are almost sold out, and this year we've thrown in something new - a Motorkhana Challenge on the DTC, run by Skid Control. You don't have to be entered in Time Attack to take part. Spectators can jump into the Motorkhana and try their hand on a properly laid-out course. The Laidley Showgrounds will host Krome Rock & Rods, a two-day Show & Shine event on Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 August. Vehicle registration for show participants commences at 6:30am on both days. Award presentations take place Saturday between 12pm and 12:30pm, and Sunday between 11am and 11:30am. This event showcases pre-1980 vehicles in all their forms—classic cars, vintage cars, American muscle cars, and hot rods—in a rockabilly-themed celebration complete with live entertainment, prizes, and trophies. Entry fees for drivers are $20 for a single day or $30 for both days, with each entry covering one driver and one vehicle. Adult spectators pay $20 per day or $30 for the entire weekend. Children aged 10 and above cost $10 daily or $15 for the weekend, while children under 10 gain free admission. The registration deadline is midnight on Wednesday 30 July 2026, with payment required by that same date. All single-day and weekend participants will receive a complimentary gift bag.

The Old Machinery Expo, Fathers & Fords is presented by the Toowoomba and District Old Machinery Society. Taking place on the day before Father's Day, this event is an ideal occasion to enjoy a visit with your dad and grandad. Vintage tractors, steam engines and stationary engines will be on display, along with Ford T's and Model A's, early Ford V8's, and Ford muscle cars and utes. Queensland Raceway at Willowbank is hosting Drift Matsuri again, featuring an exciting weekend packed with drifting action. Weekend passes are available for spectators and can include camping. Options include early-bird pricing, as well as Saturday-only and Sunday-only tickets. The Shannons Drift Bus Experience is offered separately for both adults and children, with its own ticket that does not provide event entry. Ride-along passenger bands cost $20 per person and can be purchased at the track upon arrival. Participants must present photo ID, be at least 7 years old and a minimum of 120cm in height. Those under 18 require signed parental permission in the form of an indemnity form and documentation proving guardianship. Appropriate attire is mandatory, including full-length clothing and enclosed footwear, along with an AS/NZS 1698 standard helmet or equivalent—singlets, t-shirts and shorts are not permitted. A maximum of one passenger may occupy a vehicle at any given time, whether in tandems, trains or single runs.
