Porsche just rolled three one-of-one 911 models onto the red carpet at the Toy Story 5 world premiere in Los Angeles. Each car channels a character: Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and Jessie.
This is the Sonderwunsch department at full throttle. The "special wishes" division usually builds dream specs for wealthy collectors. This time it built toys, and all three will be sold to raise money for Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, the American Red Cross, and Starlight Children's Foundation.
The Pixar connection runs deeper than a marketing deal. Bob Pauley, the production designer who originally drew Buzz Lightyear, worked directly on the project. The same Porsche team built the Sally Special from the Cars films.
Three 911s, Three Toys
The Space Ranger lands on a 992.1 GT3 RS with the Weissach Package, one of the last of its kind off the line. The body wears white with Green Yellow and Lizard Green accents across the lid, fascias, roof and fenders, matching the character's suit. The massive rear wing mimics his pop-out wings, with white and Fire Red stripes on the lower element.
The details get properly nerdy. The forged magnesium wheels are white with Space Ranger center caps drawn by Pauley himself, and Goodyear made bespoke "Lightyear" tires with custom sidewall lettering. Inside, Lizard Green belts and stitching meet Pebble Grey leather, Violeta leather on the seat tops, and door sills that light up with his famous catchphrase.
Jessie Wears the Red Hat
Jessie takes a 532 hp 911 Targa 4 GTS, mostly hand-finished by Sonderwunsch. Porsche developed a new color just for this car: Jessie White Metallic, a pearl-effect white nodding to her shirt buttons. The fascias sit in 944 Cobalt Blue Metallic, the decklids in Atacama Yellow with GTS Red pinstripes.
The clever bit is the roof. The red Targa top stands in for her cowgirl hat, complete with light beige piping, while the Targa bar reads "Jessie" in proper Porsche model font. Inside there are denim-look seat centers, cowhide-pattern floor mats, and sill plates that glow "YEE HAW!" at anyone climbing aboard.
Woody in Denim Paint
The sheriff gets the purist's pick, a 2026 Carrera T, and arguably the wildest paint of the trio. Porsche developed a process to make the Dark Sea Blue body look like worn blue jeans, with Golf Blue and White layered in and actual denim texture visible in the finish. Coffee Black fascias, an Aurum spoiler lip, and Fire Red door graphics carrying his name complete the look.
Inside, Porsche used a Brown vintage leather for the first time ever, deliberately aged to echo toys worn soft by years of play. Red checkered inlays on Speed Yellow leather, denim seat centers, and "Ride Like the Wind!" sill lettering finish the cabin.
The Part That Actually Matters
It would be easy to file this under stunt marketing. But all three cars go to auction for children's charities, and the craft involved is genuinely serious work, from one-off paint processes to custom-molded tires.
The cars debuted on June 9 ahead of the film's theatrical release on June 19. Somewhere out there, three collectors are about to own the strangest and most charming 911s ever built. Lucky them.
