The DBS Volante is the open-top variant of the DB9-based DBS V12 generation, pairing its 6.0-litre V12 with 517 hp and 570 Nm of torque with a folding soft-top roof. Drive goes to the rear wheels through a manual gearbox, and the 0 to 100 km/h sprint takes 4.3 seconds despite the added structural reinforcement required for the convertible body. Carbon fibre componentry carried over from the coupe helped manage weight, keeping the Volante a credible grand tourer rather than a softened open-air cruiser.
