The Audi Q5 is a series of compact luxury crossover SUVs manufactured by Audi, with the first generation (Typ 8R) debuting in 2008 as the third model in the B8 family. It was built on the Audi MLB platform, following the release of the Audi A5 and fourth-generation A4. The second generation Q5 (Typ 80A) was introduced in 2018 and shares the MLB Evo platform with the corresponding B9 versions of the A4 and A5. A concept version of the Q5 showcased at the 2007 Los Angeles Auto Show featured a 2-door convertible design with impressive specifications. It was equipped with a powerful 3.0 TDI engine delivering 240 PS (177 kW; 237 hp) and 500 N⋅m (369 lbf⋅ft) of torque, along with a quattro permanent four-wheel-drive system and an 8-speed automatic transmission. The vehicle boasted an eye-catching Copper Sunset body color, LED headlights, and 21-inch wheels with 265/35R21 tires. The interior featured luxurious White Stone leather upholstery, advanced MMI technology, and a premium 505W Bang & Olufsen sound system with internet radio. The concept further included CDC shock absorbers, electric ride height adjustment, and 6-piston ceramic brake discs for enhanced performance and driving dynamics. Key Points: 1.
