The Audi S2, a part of the Audi S series, is a sports car manufactured by quattro GmbH (now Audi Sport GmbH) in Neckarsulm, Germany, from 1991 to 1995. Operating on the same platform as the Audi 80 (B4), the Audi S2 aimed to lift sales and serve as a successor to the renowned Audi Quattro model. In collaboration with Konrad Schmidt Motorsport GmbH (SMS), who previously worked on Audi's DTM V8 quattro, Audi introduced a sports version of the Coupé in September 1990 under the name Audi S2. The model was designed to infuse new energy into the Coupé segment and provide an appealing option for enthusiasts.
