The Audi 80, a compact executive car manufactured by the Audi division of the Volkswagen Group, was in production for four generations spanning from 1966 to 1996. During its production run, from 1973 to 1986, the Audi 80 shared its platform with the Volkswagen Passat. Available in saloon and station wagon variants, with the station wagon marketed as the Avant by Audi, the lineup also included coupé and convertible models built on similar platforms but were not officially part of the 80 range. In certain markets, such as North America and Australia, the Audi 80 was rebranded as the Audi Fox from 1973 to 1979, followed by the Audi 4000 for the model years
