Originally equipped with a 2.4 L four-cylinder gasoline engine, diesel engine options were introduced in the 2000s. The vehicle falls into the half-tonne class, and its design was influenced by Russian off-roaders from UAZ, potentially in collaboration with the UAZ-469 model.
