The Ford GPA "Seep," also known as the Government 'P' Amphibious vehicle, was a specialized amphibious version of the Ford GPW jeep used during World War II. With an 80-inch wheelbase and designated supply catalog number G504, more than 12,000 of these vehicles were produced and deployed by Allied forces in various theaters of the war, including the Pacific and Eastern fronts, as well as during the D-Day invasion and beyond. While the design of the Ford GPA drew inspiration from the successful DUKW amphibious truck, it did not achieve the same level of success.
