In December 2019, SAIC-GM-Wuling unveiled the first images of the car, showcasing its distinctive cubic design. Initially categorized as a new energy vehicle (NEV), the Baojun E300 garnered attention for its innovative approach to electric mobility. The public debut of the Baojun E300 took place in January 2020 in Guangxi, where its compact dimensions and modern
