The Chevrolet Citation was a line of compact cars introduced by General Motors' Chevrolet division, known as the first Chevrolet model to feature front-wheel drive. Produced from 1980 to 1985, the Citation replaced the Chevrolet Nova and was positioned in the Chevrolet lineup between the Monza and Malibu models before being succeeded by the Cavalier and Celebrity. Built on the second-generation GM X-platform, the Citation underwent a significant redesign in 1980. The new model featured a front-wheel drive layout and was notably smaller in size compared to its predecessor, the Nova.
