The Citroën C5 is a large family car manufactured by Citroën from 2000 to 2018 in France and from 2008 to 2022 in China. It belongs to the large family car class and was introduced as a successor to the Citroën Xantia. The Citroën C5 is the first model in the modern Citroën lineup to feature the "Cx" naming convention, following the tradition set by its predecessors, the C4 and C6 from 1930. A crossover version known as the Citroën C5 X was released in 2021, with distinct crossover styling. The first generation of the Citroën C5, designated as DC/DE and introduced in 2001, was available in five-door liftback and estate styles.
