Citroen C5 X

2021 – present · France

The C5 replaced the Citroën Xantia in the large family car segment and introduced the "Cx" naming nomenclature, previously used by its predecessors, the C4 and C6 from the 1930s. In 2021, a crossover version of the Citroën C5 called the C5 X was released, featuring crossover styling. The first generation of the Citroën C5, known as DC/DE, debuted in 2001 and was offered in five-door liftback and estate styles. It marked a departure from the fastback saloon design philosophy previously seen in Citroën cars, a shift notable from the influence of designer Robert Opron. Production of the C5 began at the end of 2000.
