Donkervoort

Founded in 1978 by Joop Donkervoort, Donkervoort Automobielen BV is a Dutch automotive marque renowned for producing hand-built sports cars that embody a no-compromise approach to driving purity and performance. The brand made its mark in the automotive world with the introduction of the S7, its first model, which was a stark departure from more mainstream vehicles due to its ultra-lightweight design and absence of electronic driving aids. Donkervoort's philosophy centers on the principle of "no compromise," which is vividly reflected in their cars' design—eschewing modern conveniences like ABS and power steering to deliver an unfiltered driving experience. This dedication to pure driving mechanics resonates through their successive models, including the iconic S8 and the more recent D8 GTO, which is celebrated for its formidable performance wrapped in a lightweight, aerodynamically optimized frame. Today, Donkervoort continues to push the boundaries of performance with innovations in design and engineering, maintaining a passionate following among driving enthusiasts who crave the thrill of a raw, visceral driving experience. The brand’s consistent dedication to enhancing and refining their vehicles ensures they remain at the forefront of the niche ultra-performance sports car market.
