The Donkervoort D8 series is a line of high-performance sports cars that have been made by Dutch manufacturer Donkervoort in Lelystad, Netherlands since 1993. The initial model, the Donkervoort D8 Zetec, was produced from 1993 to 1998 and featured Ford engines. In 1999, the cars began using engines from Audi, a German automobile manufacturer. The transition from the Donkervoort S8AT to the D8 Zetec Classic in 1993 marked a significant shift in engine technology. While the S8AT used a turbocharged OHC 2.0L Ford engine, the D8 Zetec adopted the new Ford Zetec
