The only V10 BMW ever put in a road car, revving to 8,250rpm.
A 5.0-litre V10 built for the E60 M5 and E63 M6, drawing directly on BMW's Formula One programme. It revved to 8,250rpm and made 500hp without forced induction. BMW has never built another V10 road car engine.
