The Fiat Uno is a popular supermini car model that was manufactured and marketed by Fiat. It was first launched in 1983 and was produced over a single generation with an intermediate facelift in 1989. The Uno was available in three and five-door hatchback body styles and was produced in Europe until 1995. In Brazil, production continued until January 1, 2014. Designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro of Italdesign, the Uno's design was inspired by the high-roof, up-right packaging of Giugiaro's 1978 Lancia Megagamma concept but in a smaller format. With a total production of over 8,800,000 units, the Fiat Uno is considered the eighth most produced automobile platform in history.
