Ford Orion 3rd Gen

1990 – 1993 · USA

The Ford Focus Mk IV, or fourth generation, has been in production by Ford since 2018. This small family car was designed to replace the previous generation of the Focus. Available in saloon, hatchback, and estate body styles, the Mk IV aimed to cater to different consumer preferences. However, this generation marked the end of the Focus line-up in several regions, including America and Southeast Asia, narrowing its market presence to Europe, China, Taiwan, Australasia, and other minor markets. Key Points: 1. Fourth Generation: The Focus Mk IV, also known as the Focus C519, was unveiled in April 2018 to succeed the third-generation Focus. 2. Body Styles: Available in saloon, hatchback, and estate body styles, offering a variety of options for consumers. 3. Limited Market Reach: The Mk IV saw the discontinuation of the Focus line-up in regions like America and Southeast Asia, focusing its sales in Europe, China, Taiwan, Australasia, and other smaller markets. 4. Production: Officially introduced by Ford in 2018, the European- and Asian-market versions of the fourth-generation Focus were revealed simultaneously to appeal to these target markets. Overall, the Ford Focus Mk IV sought to continue the legacy of its predecessors in the small family car segment but with a more concentrated market strategy. With its range of body styles and modern features, the fourth generation aimed to attract consumers primarily in Europe and selected Asian markets.
