The GAZ M1, also known as "Emka," was a passenger car manufactured by the Soviet automaker GAZ from 1936 to 1943 in Gorky, Russia (now Nizhny Novgorod). While systematic production ceased in 1941 due to wartime disruptions, existing parts allowed for continued assembly until 1943. A total of 62,888 GAZ M1 vehicles were produced during this time. Production coincided with World War II, and many Emkas were utilized by the army as staff cars. Special versions, including the GAZ M - FAI and BA-20 armored car models, were also developed. These vehicles played a crucial role during the war, demonstrating their versatility and durability
