GAZ›M-20 Pobeda

The GAZ-M20 "Pobeda" was a passenger car manufactured by GAZ in the Soviet Union from 1946 to 1958. The car was also produced under license by the Polish Passenger Automobile Factory as the FSO Warszawa. Initially referred to simply as the M-20, the car was given the name "Pobeda," meaning victory in Russian. The GAZ factory was named after Vyacheslav Molotov, hence the "M" designation for "Molotovets." The design of the Pobeda was influenced by earlier sketches created by Valentin Brodsky in 1938 and Vladimir Aryamov in 1940, indicating a shift towards streamlined car design in the Soviet Union
